Went to Zest for the third time at the beginning of April with my fiancee for our anniversary. As ever the food and atmosphere was first class. More recently we visited what is probably one of Zest's closest and main competitors and frankly, we wish we hadn't - it was truly awful and we should have stuck to what we know best. Congratulations, Zest on continuing to be one of Derby's best restaurants.

Myself and my partner visit Zest regularly to sample their menu each season. We always choose to dine "early diners" and this proves to be great value for money. A la carte food at affordable prices. We cannot fault the food, service and atmosphere - it is exceptional 5* quality.

We have been living away from Derby and so one forgets details. To celebrate our anniversary of our first date, we decided to go somewhere special. We'd forgotten what restaurants there were down Friargate, and so we wandered for a while, and of course then remembered where Zest was. How could we have forgotten? Marvelous food, marvelous setting, marvelous service. All at a good price. We won't be as forgetful again!

zest really is Derby's best restaurant without any doubt. I'd recommed you to anyone.

Fantastic meals had for lunch on two separate Saturdays, enjoyed the live music too! Great atmosphere and have not tasted better food anywhere in Derby city centre... if only I had room for all 3 courses!! Many thanks, will definitely be visiting again.

We visited zest recently for a 50th birthday and i must say it exceeeded our expectations once again the food is lovely and the staff are brilliant, i have never been anywhere where you get both! i have only recently discovered restaurant zest and it is now our favourite place to eat!

Superb food and an extremely friendly relaxing atmosphere. A menu that l would have loved to have tried all the dishes and a waiting staff that were very friendly, efficient and were fantastic with my young son on his first restaurant outing. The sea bass was superb and can't wait to visit Derby again as return visit to Zest will be a certainty. A genuine find....
